HR Hobbies Armoured Glass is a transparent green-blue coating that can be used to tint bullet resistant glass on military aircraft etc. It’s also suitable for making sun visor band on car windscreens. This paint allows you to replicate the colour of armoured glass and early coated optics. It has been designed to tint clear parts.
HR Hobbies Armoured Glass is oil based coating (mineral spirit/white spirit) and not a solvent lacquer. It comes pre-thinned and ready to use.
How to use:
- Shake the bottle thoroughly before use
- Ensure surfaces are completely clean and free of oil/grease/dust
- Do not thin
- Spray at 12-20 PSI
- Misty on a very light first coat – wait for 1 minute
- Apply additional coats to increase the tint intensity
- Allow 3-4 minutes between additional coats
