A normal DPD delivery may arrive at any time between 08:00 and 18:00. This AM delivery surcharge is for the extra cost to make a DPD delivery into a morning delivery. Select this if you would like the convenience of a time slot (between 08:00 am - 12:00 midday).
This surcharge DOES NOT mean you will receive the delivery the morning after placing the order. Although that can happen if you place your order early in the day and the order queue is light.
The surcharge applies only to the shipping method on the delivery day. The processing duration before dispatch is normal. This surcharge does not mean immediate processing of the order; nor does it mean same-day dispatch; nor 'expedited processing' such as jumping the processing queue of orders.
We normally dispatch within two complete working days - please see our shipping terms page. This is a fast turnaround of orders and we often we exceed this turnaround. Usually this is quick enough for most circumstances, but we do offer an 'expedited processing' service for emergencies (additional surcharge applies - please call us for details).
Terms & Conditions
- This is a delivery option, affecting speed of delivery but not the speed of dispatch.
- We will book your delivery with DPD to arrive between 08:00 am and 12:00 midday on the day after dispatch.
- You order will be dispatched within two complete working days of our receiving the order. So it may be dispatched on the same day (possible, if you place it early on a working day), or dispatched on the next working day (most likely) or the day after (least likely). You will receive the goods on the morning following dispatch. Please call us for faster services (additional surcharge applies).
- The AM delivery surcharge is not for a Saturday delivery. Please call us for a quote for Saturdays.
- Add this surcharge to your order only if you are selecting a DPD shipping service; or your order qualifies for free shipping and is of volume and weight that will require DPD.
- Do not add this surcharge if you have selected Royal Mail or any other service.
- For Royal Mail, select the Special Delivery shipping option, which is for next-day deliveries before 1pm (on the day after dispatch, not the day after you place the order).
- This surcharge does not mean immediate processing, same-day dispatch, 'expedited processing' or jumping the order processing queue.
- The surcharge covers the extra shipping and handling cost of a parcel up to 15kg.
- For consignments larger than 15kg, the surcharge is an extra 10p per kg.
A before 10:30 am and before 9am delivery option is also available from DPD for a more expensive surcharge. Also a Saturday delivery is available. Please call us for a quote of these options.
